Collegio Navale Tommaseo

The large building of the Collegio Navale Tommaseo was founded as a school of the Gioventù Italiana del Littorio: it prepared boys with classical and scientific high-school courses and a naval track, almost like an academy. From 7 November 1943 it also housed the Air Force Academy, while the Naval Academy had been re-established here.

After the war it remained a boarding school until the end of the 1970s. It was then abandoned and occupied by evicted families, who left it in the early 1990s.
