On Via Carmine stands Palazzo Ripa, a sixteenth-century noble house with clean, symmetrical lines. It is named after the family that owned it: Giovanni Leonardo Ripa, mayor in 1588 and 1589, lived here.
On the ground floor, the round-arched portal beneath a dentilled cornice, with the Ripa coat of arms. On either side, two small symmetrical doorways, each with a small square window above. On the upper floor, five rectangular windows.
Sadly the palazzo is abandoned today: look at it from the street.
