The former Scuole Pie convent includes the church of Saint Michael the Archangel, recognisable by its dome covered in coloured majolica tiles, now used as an auditorium and exhibition space.
In the courtyard next door are the rooms of the old convent, which over the centuries has been a dormitory, a school and even a prison. Today it houses council offices and the picture gallery of works by Armando Scivales, a twentieth-century Brindisi painter.
